Paying and Being Paid From Your Phone
Paying by phone is instant. Getting money back out of an app is slower and has steps. Knowing them in advance avoids the surprise.
Paying
Mobile payment replaces the card with a token stored on the phone, confirmed by fingerprint, face or PIN. The merchant never sees the card number.
Keep it safe
- A screen lock is not optional.
- Turn on remote erase before you need it.
- Check statements; small test charges are a warning.
Why withdrawals are slower
When an app holds a balance for you and you ask for it back, the provider checks your identity, checks any conditions and then sends a bank transfer. Each step takes time.
What to prepare
